Assures 50 per cent subsidy in irrigation, soil preparation, others
Srinagar, May 10: The authorities in the floriculture department Wednesday met the local youth of Tangmarg, who desire to start their businesses in the sector.
The officials assured the youth that 50 per cent subsidy will be given to them in various things including soil preparation, fertilizes, irrigation and others.
Director Floriculture, Muhammad Hussain Mir told KNS that they interacted with the youth in Tangmarg area today and discussed various issues related to the flower growing and other things.
The programme has been initiated across the Valley but the locals in Tangmarg had approached the officials in this regard thereby had arranged a meeting with them today.
The initiative would help the women empowerment in the state as well, he said, adding that the farmers would be registered first in this regard.
“The youth in Tangmarg, willing to start their business in floriculture had created a forum. They approached us and urged to help them in starting their business in this sector,” he said, adding that following which they interacted with the youth and assured every possible help to them.
Secretary tourism and floriculture, Farooq Ahmad Shah, Deputy Director Floriculture, Nazir Ahmad Reshi, Rukaya Assistant director floriculture and others were participated in the programme, which was organized by locals in Tangmarg. (KNS)
