Srinagar, May 05: Hizb-ul-Mujahideen Friday condemned the day-long crackdown by forces in several villages in Shopian.
“Crackdown, thrashing of people and ransacking belongings in Shopian villages is indicating that India has given away before the Kashmiris. Such tactics are being used to strengthen their occupation here,” HM spokesman Saleem Hashmi quoted the HM chief, Syed Salah-ud-din as saying.
“We express grief over the martyrdom of a driver, Nazir Ahmad. The Indian forces are using civilians as shields, which is highly condemnable.”
“India has failed to sabotage the ongoing freedom struggle despite using every tactic to muzzle the voice of Kashmiris,” he added.
The HM chief said that the world community and rights bodies should take notice over such happenings. (KNS)
