Hurriyat spokesman condemns arrest of minor in Aripanthan Berwa

 

SRINAGAR  MAY 06:  Hurriyat spokesman, Ayaz Akbar condemned arrest of minor in Aripanthan Berwa and said that it is extremely undemocratic practice & illustrates the grave situation of human rights violations in state. Appealing human rights organizations & UNICEF for their cognizance, spokesman urged to full fill their responsibility in the protection of the children.

Referring to detention of ten-year-old Suhail Ahmad Dar (Aripanthan Beerwa), spokesman said that police has made him captive as his elder brother is wanted in some case. Police is practicing this unlawful exercise as no accountability exists, said Ayaz Akbar.

Spokesman said that those arrested, killed and maimed during peoples uprising were mostly minors. State administration is not following any ethics and people are unlawfully detained, showered with bullets and subjected to third degree torture. (PTK)
