Srinagar, May 19: Srinagar, May 19: Terming as state terrorism the imprisonment and shifting of Aasiya Andrabi & Sofi Fahmeeda to Jammu jail, various leaders from united resistance today staged a peaceful protest at Miasuma lal chowk Srinagar. Leaders including Showakt Ahmad Bakhshi, Muhammad Altaf Shah, Meraj ud din Kalwal, Noor Muhammad Kalwal, sheikh abdul Rashid, Zahoor Ahmad Butt, Bashir Ahmad kashmiri, Siraj ud Din Mir, Muhammad Sideeq Shah, Mukhtar Ahmad Sofi, Nisar Hussain Rather and Muhammad Ramzan Khan along with hundreds of people from all walks of life gathered at Miasuma and marched towards Jehangeer chowk Lal Chowk. Raising slogans in against state sponsored terrorism especially incarceration of ailing leader Mtr Asiya Andrabi and her associate and shifting them to Jammu jail. Protesters were holding placards depicting slogans in favor of Asiya Andrabi and other prisoners. After reaching near Budshah chowk protesters sat down on a peaceful sit-in. many leaders addressed the protesters said that state India and its stooges are following ‘’Dovel doctrine’’ and have waged war against civilian population in Jammu Kashmir. Speakers said that said that Aasiya Andrabi is suffering from multiple ailments and shifting her & Sofi Fahmeeda to Jammu jail has put their lives in danger. Speakers that she needs specialized medical consultation but instead she along with her secretary has been shifted to Jammu in extreme & adverse climate demonstrating the ugly face of Indian democracy in Jammu Kashmir. This is extremely shameful on part of so-called authorities & highly condemnable,” said speakers. They warned occupational authorities and said if any untoward happens to ailing leader; so called rulers shall have to face consequences. Speakers strongly condemned the arrest of JKLF district president Kulgam Abdul sattar and Secretary Nazir Ahmad who after arrest have been shifted to district jail Islamabad.

speakers said that many among those arrested during peoples uprising in 2016 are still languishing in different jails and police stations and their detention period is being prolonged on one pretext or the other while as many have been arrested from last many days and months. Speakers said that cases of more than hundred detainees was set aside by judiciary, however they were not released instead, booked again under PSA on fictitious allegations.
Speakers appealed the world human rights bodies to take note of atrocities and oppression unleashed against Kashmiris and use their good offices to secure their immediate release.
