Speaking on the occasion Maulana Abbass Karari, the Vice-Chairman, Religious Affairs IKMT,  said that since 1947 the people of Kargil have been denied the basic rights by  both the State and the Central governments and the district has been ignored in all spheres of development. He urged the governments to take stock of the situation and take immediate steps and said that the patience of the people of this region is running out and there is urgent need to take concrete steps.

“Kargil is a landlocked area and for people communication is life line. The communication system of Kargil has completely collapsed. BSNL has failed to provide reliable connectivity,” he said.
