Kupwara car owners allege cheating by patrol pumps.

‘Urge action against the cheaters’

Handwara, May 10: Car owners in Kupwara are up in arms against the patrol pump owners for “cheating” them while filling fuel in their vehicles.
Muhammad Sultan, a car owner of Handwara town, told KNS that he went to fill his care at a patrol pump in Chogal area of the town.
“The meter reading showed the amount of fuel and cost. After a minute, I paid the money and drove ahead. But the car stopped after I drove 2 kilometers,” he said, adding that the patrol pump had cheated with him as they had not filled the car as per the money.
“I am filing a complaint with the police and Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs officials against the petrol pump owner,” he said.
Tahir Ahmad, another car owner, too complained that he was cheated by the same patrol pump owner in Chogul.
The car owners have asked the officials concerned to take action against the “cheaters”. (KNS)
