Holds meeting with Secretary JKAACL
Srinagar, May 22: After assuming the charge of Vice President of J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Zafar Iqbal Manhas, Monday visited Academy headquarter and had a two hour long meeting with Secretary Academy, Dr. Aziz Hajini over a wide range of issues.
Apart from discussing the status of various ongoing projects and schemes, the Vice President also took stock of all such programmes and projects which were in the pipeline.
Giving details Secretary JKAACL, Dr. Aziz Hajini said that during today’s meeting he proposed holding of a series of meetings by the Vice President with the concerned stockholders of all the three regions of the State.
“It was resolved that the Vice President shall have a series of meetings with writers, poets and artists of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions vis-à-vis various issues concerning them,” Hajini said.
Earlier while receiving Zafar Iqbal Manhas as the Vice President of the Academy, the Secretary JKAACL and senior staff of the Academy extended a warm to him. Pertinently, this was the first formal visit of Manhas to the Academy headquarter after his nomination as the Vice President. (KNS)
