Srinagar, May 24: The family of slain youth Ovais Ahmad Fafoo of Mandarbagh locality of Srinagar city, whose body was retrieved from River Jhelum at Shadipora Sumbal in July 2015 Wednesday alleged that the culprit responsible for the death of her son was bailed out by court due to ‘slapdash’ attitude of the police.
Shahzada, the mother of the slain youth who appeared in Press Enclave Srinagar here told Reporters that she was shocked to see accused getting bail. “The public prosecutor failed to come up with sufficient evidence against the accused though there is not an iota of doubt that my son was murdered in cold blood by one person who is infamous for his immoral and illicit activities like gambling and boozing.
She said that her son was carrying some Rs 60, 000 cash in his pocket when he left the home on July 22, 2015 and that became the only cause of his death,” Shahzada said and requested police to gather all the evidences against the accused.
“I want justice, bring my son back or ensure my burial next to him, I want his killer to be punished the way he murdered my son,” she said adding that her son was the lone bread earner for the family. (CNS)
