Dates for written test to be notified separately
Srinagar, MAY 24: Physical Endurance test/ Physical Standard test phase for recruitment of constables in JKP concluded in the State today by completing the PET and PST of the candidates belonging to district Leh. In Kashmir province the process was started from district Srinagar on May 13, 2017 and concluded at district Leh. 588 candidates underwent through various physical tests at Degree College ground Leh and 256 candidates were declared qualified in the said tests.
The drive was initiated in the State from district Jammu on March 20, 2017 and completed in Jammu province on April 21, 2017. More than 1.18 lac candidates from all districts of the State had applied for the 5381 advertised posts and the candidates found eligible to appear in the next phase will be called for written test for which dates will be notified separately. A huge response was seen and more than 82 percent of the candidates called for the tests appeared in the said tests.
All the steps involved in the PET/PST process were technology driven with no human intervention. The physical tests were conducted by using RFID chips with computerized readings, results. All the events involved in the physical tests were video-graphed and the candidates having any grievance with regard to their results were provided opportunity to view the result on CCTV footage.
Recruitment Board has repeatedly made it clear through different means of media that there is no scope of any influence or interference in the recruitment and merit obtained in written test will be sole criterion of selection. Candidates have been advised not to fall prey of touts, who could try to lure them on false promises.
