Ganderbal, May 18: Failure of authorities to remove encroachments from main market Kangan is taking on the commuters and pedestrians leading to frequent traffic jams.

Hospital road and Akhal road has been encroached upon by street-vendors and raidawallas which irks emergency patients and pedestrians.

Authorities must take  immediate measures and ensure roads are not encroached upon said Bashir Ahmad a resident of Kangan.

Almost half of the road have been occupied by the Raidawallas the concerned authorities have turned a blind eye to this situation said Mushtaq Ahmad a resident of Akhal.

Though, a number of anti-encroachment drives were launched by the authorities last year but the situation never changed.

Expressing grave concern over the increasing encroachments in main market Kangan, the in habitants especially consumers have demanded the authorities to crackdown against encroaches.
