SHRC says Police fails to trace missing youth of Pulwama: Untoo
He is missing since 1990

Srinagar, May 05: The State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) has said that the police have failed to trace Abdul Rashid Wani of Rohmoo Pulwama who is missing since 1990, International Forum for Justice Human Rights (IFJHR) chairman, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo said on Friday.
According to the statement issued to KNS, Untoo said, “SHRC chairman has said that police in its report has said that Abdul Rashid Wani, son of Abdul Gani of Rohmoo Pulwama who is missing since 1990 has crossed the LoC for arms training. However, it has failed to trace his exact location there.”
He said that SHRC chairperson, Justice Bilal Nazki has given the judgement on Dec 09, 2016 while he has received the judgement a few days ago.
Untoo said that it is not the only case where authorities have said that the missing person has crossed the LoC for arms training.
IFJHR chairman said that Wani went missing in 1990 and after few days an FIR under 1/1990 was registered in this regard. (KNS)
