Tral Shuts to protest against the creation of ADC office in Awantipora

Tral, May 26: Complete shutdown observed in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district against the creation of Additional Deputy Commissioner office, in Awantipora area of the sub division. Heavy protests were going on in Bus Stand area of Tral, where the protestors demanded that ADC office should be in Tral, which has been given to Awantipora yesterday, in a government order. In the said order , the transfer order of Sub Divisional Magistrate Tral Mr Reyaz Ahmad Malik, was also mentioned, which has been revoked now by the authorities. The call was given by Civil society and Trade Union against the order of creation of ADC office in Awantipora rather than Tral , which is the Sub district , since long time. All the shops and business establishments were closed and traffic is off the roads. Senior citizen and Social activist Farooq Trali also expressed resentment over the decision of government and demands early revocation of the said order in this regard. He said that ADC office should be given to deserving Tral.
