Vikar Rasool takes detailed review of health sector in Banihal
Urges upon officials to ensure best health care facilities to public

Banihal, May 22: Former minister and MLA Banihal Vikar Rasool Wani today held a detailed meeting with the Chief Medical Officer Ramban and concerned Block Medical Officers for Banihal Constituency at emergency hospital Banihal.
MLA Banihal Vikar Rasool Wani reviewed the functioning of the medical sub centers, Primary Health Care Centers and the Sub District Hospital Banihal in the meeting and sought information about infrastructural and staffing deficiencies.
Vikar asked the Health Administration to restore or replace the defunct health equipments and machines at the sub district Hospital Banihal and also ensure availability of all kind medical tests within hospital premises without any delay.
MLA Banihal was informed about availability of vacancies that exist in the Health Department in Banihal Constituency, following which he sought the filling of these vacancies from the Administration.
Vikar also passed instructions that the Sanctioned mortuary ward and renovation of gayne ward and toilet complex as well as dismantle of unsafe buildings in the vicinity of emergency Banihal hospital so that people don’t have to travel outside Banihal for basic health checkups and procedures.
MLA Banihal also asked the Administration to make newly Sanctioned critical care Ambulance fully equipped and functional
Vikar Rasool Wani received numerous public delegations interacted with his constituents and sought feedback over the progress of works that are underway and also took note of various public concerns and passed instructions to relevant department for timely redressal.
Meanwhile MLA Banihal Vikar Rasool Wani released some grants during RKS meeting for well being of health sector in the area.
Various among others chief medical officer Ramban Dr Saif-ud-Din Khan, Block medical officer Dr Mohammad Yousuf Khan and others also participated in the meeting. (KNS)
