Srinagar, June 1: On the auspicious occasion of the 54th Raising Day of Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre, Ladakh Scouts remembered the valour and sacrifice of its martyrs, who laid their lives in service of the Nation, at the newly constructed War Memorial at Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre, Leh.
To commemorate the occasion, a band symphony was organized in the lawns of newly constructed War Memorial.
“A large number of Veterans and Veer Naries were also present during this momentous occasion and were felicitated by Lieutenant General VP Singh AVSM, YSM Colonel of the Regiment, JAK RIF and Ladakh Scouts. The ceremony concluded with the salutation to the Nation, singing of the Regimental song and the thundering war cry of “KI KI SO SO LAHARGYALO,” Army said in a statement to KNS.
“Raised in the form of Nubra guards in the year 1948 against Pakistani Raiders, the Ladakh Scouts Regiment has a rich history of valour and sacrifice. This youngest Regiment of the Indian Army proudly carries a tally of 603 awards since its raising.” (KNS)?
