​Windstorm wreaks havoc in South Kashmir 


Pulwama, June 06: The windstorm caused massive damage to orchards, trees , vehicles and residential houses from last two days in Awantipora and Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama  district.
Reports said that the windstorm hit Awantipora and Tral area’s , early in the morning today on second consecutive day, causing damage to public property there including a Santro vehicle on National Highway Awantipora.
They said earlier on Monday , a house rooftop of one of the widow was also destroyed by the windstorm in Rajpora area of Awantipora while as many trees were also uprooted in the area since yesterday.
The windstorm caused intense damage to the orchards filled with apples and uprooted hundreds of trees, Sources told Fast Kashmir.

The windstorm created fear and panic among residents of these areas and confined them to their houses.
