‘He was a well respected politician’

Srinagar, Jun 06: All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC), Chairman, Jagmohan Singh Raina Tuesday extended his condolences to the family and the community on whole on the sad demise of S. Rangeel Singh, a prominent Sikh Leader and the former Minister in J&K.
Rangeel Singh died today in Jammu due to heart attack.
“Singh has devoted his life for the state of J&K as a Congress leader and later joined PDP and was a very close associate of late Md. Mufti Sayeed. S. Rangeel Singh was instrumental in establishing Mahant Bachittar Singh Engineering College in Jammu which massively promoted engineering education and benefited a lot of Sikh minority students. He was an educated, foresighted and a well respected politician,” Rainsa said.
Raina said that “it has been a great personal loss to me as he was a very humble friend and guide, and to the people of J&K, it would feel a sad demise of a sincere politician.” (KNS)
