Civilian Killed in Pulwama Clashes

Eyewitnesses said that a civilian was killed during clashes between protesters and government forces in Kakapora area of the district. The deceased, identified as Touseef Ahmad Wani, a resident of Tengpuna village of the district, had suffered multiple pellet injuries, said an official.

Pulwama, June 22: The killing of three militants has sparked massive protests and clashes in different parts of South Kashmir, while reports reaching here suggest the death of a civilian in the clashes that erupted after the culmination of encounter in Kakapora area of Pulwama district.    

   
Eyewitnesses said that a civilian was killed during clashes between protesters and government forces in Kakapora area of the district. The deceased, identified as Touseef Ahmad Wani, a resident of Tengpuna village of the district, had suffered multiple pellet injuries, said an official.
Pertinently, during a fierce encounter three militants identified as  Muhammad Shariq and Majid Ahmed of Kakapora and Shabir Ahmed of Padgampora were killed on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.
