Srinagar, June 3: Jammu Kashmir Democratic Liberation Party Hashim Qureshi Saturday castigated government for closing down educational Institutes in Kashmir Valley. While expressing concern over the development, Hashim Qureshi said that such a move will push students towards darkness and it will serve no purpose to the nation.

Hashim Qureshi said that unfortunately the sponsors of strike calls burnt down schools and thus made the future of the students bleak. He said that an atmosphere of Talibanization is being created in Kashmir that will only lead us towards death and destruction.

Asking government to restore educational activities in all the closed colleges and schools, Hashim Qureshi termed the NIA raids on some Hurriyat and businessman unfortunate and said that government should not harass people for pursing a different ideology. “Hurriyat leaders are themselves responsible for the mess. NIA team arrived here after a Hurriyat  leaders spilled the beans during a sting operation and it humiliated the nation,” he said and hoped that those who believe in independent Kashmir will prefer civil disobedience movement over violence.
