Srinagar, June 1: Paying rich tributes to the two slain militants killed in Sopore encounter on Thursday, militant outfit Hizbul Mujhajideen has said that “militants have been playing a key role in lifting up the spirits of pro-freedom people of Kashmir.”

Pertinently, two Hizb militants Aijaz Ahmad Mir of Brath Kalan and Basharat Ahmad Sheikh of Bomai were killed in an encounter at Nathipora Sopore in pre-dawn gun fight.

Hizb Operational Spokesperson, Burhanuddin told local news agency CNS over phone that Hizb Chief Syed Salahuddin while addressing a meeting said that: “Our militants have been heading successfully towards the destination. We are really indebted to these daring and brave soldiers who sacrifice their lives for our bright tomorrow,” he said.

“Glorious tributes were also paid to these slain militants by Hizb Deputy Chief Saifullah Khalid and Operational Field Commander Mehmood Ghaznavi and congregational prayers too were offered for them,” he said. CNS
