Srinagar, June 09: As a part of special campaign launched by JK Police in collaboration with Uday Foundation during the month of Ramzan to help the needy people, the helping hand was extended to such people in South Kashmir and also in Budgam today. The campaign continues on directions of DGP J&K Shri S.P Vaid and IGP Kashmir Shri Munir Ahmad Khan.
Clothing items were distributed among the people belonging to weaker sections of the society and also among the specially abled persons in Anantnag, Kulgam and Budgam District.
In Budgam, clothes, shoes and other basic items were distributed among the needy people mostly women and children at Magam, Beerwah, Charisharief, Khag, Narbal, & Waterhail areas of the district Budgam. The items were distributed by SHO Charisharief Zahoor Ahmad , SHO Beerwah Mohammad Yousuf, SHO Magam Aftab Ahmad, SHO Khag Mohammad Aslam, D.O Gowhar Ahmad Waterhail and D.O Narbal Walayat Ahmad.
In Anantnag, these items were distributed among 60 specially abled students of of an education Institute at Bijbehara by Add. SP Anantnag Shri Mukesh Kumar.
Meanwhile, SSP Kulgam Shri. Shridhar Patil distributed clothing items among 130 families including children and women belonging from far-flung areas during a function at Police Lines Kulgam. Besides, these items were also distributed at all the Police Stations of the district Kulgam to hundreds of the people belonging to weaker sections of the society.
