‘Military occupation has turned life of Kashmiris into hell’

Srinagar, Jun 02: Paying tributes to two slain Sopore militants, Aijaz Ahmed Mir and Basharat Ahmed Shiekh, Jammu Kashmir National Front (JKNF) Friday said that death and destruction going on in the disputed region can only be stopped after India accepts the glaring realities about Kashmir dispute and comes forward to resolve it by accepting the right of self determination of its people.
“Two brave hearts Shaheed Aijaz Ahmed Mir and Shaheed Basharat Ahmed Shiekh achieved martyrdom at Nathipora area of Sopore on Thursday while fighting the Indian troops,” the statement issued to KNS, said.
A National Front spokesman said that “brave youth who are on path of an armed struggle script a new kind of history by challenging a very big military power which has brutally occupied their nation and which is brazenly violating every human right to prolong the occupation.”
The spokesman said that “military occupation has turned the life of Kashmiri people into hell especially since last three decades.”
He said that “people are deprived of every right and are openly threatened to either accept the occupation or face the brunt. India is using its every institution to strengthen its occupation of Kashmir however Kashmiri freedom lovers too have pledged time and again to break the chains of slavery in any case and at any cost.”
”The new generation of Kashmir has changed the whole scenario as our youth have taken over the fight against India and are fighting bravely on each and every front. The spokesman added that brave hearts are leading the nation from the front and the whole nation is following them indicating that day is not far when New Delhi and its local collaborators will have to wind up,” the spokesman said.
Stressing people to seek Almighty Allah’s forgiveness during the holy times of Ramadan, the spokesman said that Ramadan also teaches us to resist against evils like slavery.
He said that “we should also take care of those who are the victims of Indian tyranny so that the ongoing freedom struggle sustains for longer. Indian mindset is unfolding after each passing day and after the recent statements of Indian Army chief it has become clearer that New Delhi is at war with Kashmiri people at institutional level.”
The spokesman stressed people to prepare themselves for worst days because New Delhi and its collaborators are continuously on path of trying every despotism against already ‘oppressed Kashmiris’. (KNS)
