Kashmir University protests against civilian killing

“Army has been given free hand to deal with people in Kashmir. This depicts the mindset of present dispensation in New Delhi. Killing, blinding and maiming can’t break the resolve of the freedom aspiring people,” said a student.

The civilian killing in South Kashmir’s Shopian district sparked a protest in Kashmir University here on Wednesday.
A 12th Class student Adil Farooq was killed in Forces firing on Wednesday evening.
Reports said that hundreds of students organized a peaceful protest against the killing. The Varsity students from different departments assembled in the premises of Law Department and carried out the protest rally. The protesting student amid pro-freedom slogans sought intervention of International Community to stop India from inflicting brutalities upon people of Kashmir.
“Army has been given free hand to deal with people in Kashmir. This depicts the mindset of present dispensation in New Delhi. Killing, blinding and maiming can’t break the resolve of the freedom aspiring people,” said a student.
The protest rally culminated peacefully near Administrative Block of the Varsity.
