Srinagar, Jun 02: All Party Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) and the family of Major Gurjeet Singh Bali Friday demanded a high level judicial probe into the death of Gurjeet Singh at Saharan pur Haryana at veterinary core training centre (Army Unit).
In a statement issued to KNS, APSCC Chairman, Jagmohan Singh Raina said that the father of late Major Gurjeet Singh Sardar Trilok Singh who is resident of village Rankipura, Beru Budgam said that his son was complaining harassment by senior officers several times.
“This complaint was confirmed by his other family members as well,” the statement reads.
The statement added that his body was brought from Delhi today and cremated today at Srinagar.
A large number of community members and majority community people from Beru Budgam were present at cremation.
Raina said that many community leaders were complaining about the Postmortem report and its procedure were not followed as per the policy.
“The postmortem has to be done in presence of family members but in this case it was all fishy case,” Singh said.
