Murder Case:  Court seeks reply from prosecution for withdrawing security of complainant

Srinagar, June 19: The Court has sought a reply from the Police with regard to withdrawal of security of one Zahoor Ahmed Mir who is fighting a case against murder accused and infamous government gunman Ghulam Muhammad Lone alias Papa Kishtwari.

     The Court of Principal Sessions Judge, Srinagar in 2011 had directed government to provide sufficient security to Zahoor Ahmed Mir as he apprehends serious threat to his life and his family and property will be put to danger as the accused Papa Kishtwari is allegedly a notorious killer.

      Advocate Babar Qadri, the Counsel for the petitioner informed the court that police have reduced the security of Mir for the reasons better known to them.

    The Court after hearing the arguments has sought reply from the police. The case has been listed for the next hearing on June 21 this month.

     Meanwhile, the murder case involving Papa Kishtwari was listed before the Court of 4th Additional District Judge Srinagar. Kishtwari, the murder accused is allegedly involved in the killing of a Nishat Contrator Ali Muhammad Mir.

    As the prosecution failed to produce any witness, the court listed the case for the next hearing on July 1 next month. (CNS)
