Srinagar, Jun 06: The Secretary Education Farooq Ahmad Shah reviewed the working of SAA, RAMSA and had a threadbare discussion about different projects and educational programs under the above schemes.
He was briefed about different educational and developmental activities implemented under SSA and RAMSA.
The Secretary stressed for the time bound completion of the different vital projects and asked the officers to work with zeal and in coordination to change the educational scenario of the state which he termed as the most important and priority sector for developing and grooming the future generation of the state.
The secretary also asked the officers to ensure judicious, optimal use of the available resources in the said sector to provide the proper feasible atmosphere for the students.
He also instructed the officials to work in tandem with close liaison for the best results Director SSA Saugat Biswas, Director school education Kashmir Dr Yatoo, Director RAMSA Tufail Mattoo, Director Education Jammu Ravinder Singh, Principal SIE, Principal DIET Srinagar and the state coordinators of various schemes under RAMSA and SSA were also present in the meeting.
Earlier while inspecting the SIE state institute of education and DIET the secretary expressed surprise over the dilapidated infrastructure in the said institutions.
He termed these institutions the most important and prestigious because of their role in imparting skill upgradable training to the nation builders (Teachers) the said institutions have been ignored after the devastating floods of 2014.
The Secretary instructed the principals of the said institutions to furnish detailed estimates for upgrading the infrastructure and for the replacement of the existing one to the quality one. Farooq Ahmad Shah stressed the officials of the SIE and DIET to work with a mission for making these institutions vibrant and hub of training and development programs to groom the quality human resource.
