Two army soldiers killed, four other injured in militants attack

Anantnag, June 03: ​Two Army personnel  were killed and four others injured when militants attacked an Army convoy on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway near Lower Munda in south Kashmir today.

The militants attacked the convoy near Lower Munda toll post in Qazigund area, injuring six army personnel, an army official said.

He said the injured were evacuated to Army’s 92 base hospital where two jawans succumbed to their injuries.

The deceased have been identified as 

Manivanang of 147 light AD and Nk  Deepak Methi of 54 FD  regiment .

The injured soldiers are being treated at Army hospital, Srinagar.

Vaid prakesh of 106 TA Para . And 

Sepoy Subash Chand of  48 AD .

A  hunt is underway to nab the attackers.
