Srinagar, Jun 03: Expressing serious concern over the rising tensions between two nuclear powers, India and Pakistan, APHC spokesman said the major reason for bitterness and border skirmishes between two countries is the Kashmir dispute which continues to linger on since decades until the basic issue is resolved, the two nations will continue to remain at loggerheads with each other.
APHC spokesman said the two countries must realize the essence of resolution of Kashmir issue as per the aspirations of people, peace will remain a big challenge for not just in the sub-continent, but in the entire South Asia.
The spokesman man said that because of the fragile relations between India and Pakistan, since past many decades, people of Kashmir have been the worst suffers as it’s the people of the disputed Kashmir, who suffer even after the armies of two countries lock horns at the borders.
For the everlasting peace in South Asia, the APHC spokesman said India and Pakistan must take concrete steps by accepting the basic reality that Kashmir resolution is inevitable for peace in the entire South Asian region and for the lasting development and progress of the two nations. The two countries, APHC spokesman said must realise the sensitivities involved and give the people of Kashmir their basic birth right, right to self determination for an honourable resolution of the issue.
Meanwhile, on the directions of APHC chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, senior leader of the amalgam, Ghulam Nabi Zaki visited the residences of two youth martyred by the forces in an encounter at Nathipora Spopore in Baramulla district. The Hurriyat leader expressed solidarity with the families of two slain youth and assured them that the blood spilled by the youth won’t go in vain.
