University postpones exams

Authorities suspends class work in Srinagar colleges and schools

Srinagar, June 8: The district administration in Srinagar has ordered the suspension of class work in all Degree Colleges and schools on Friday.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Farooq Ahmad Lone said there will be no teaching activity in the Degree Colleges and schools in Srinagar district on Friday.

“Teaching activity will remain suspended in Colleges and schools of Srinagar district tomorrow,” Farooq Ahmad Lone said.

Meanwhile, authorities at the University of Kashmir on Thursday announced the postponement of all examinations scheduled for Friday, June 9.

A spokesperson of the varsity said  that the decision in this regard was taken after a meeting.

Pertinently, the joint resistance leadership has called for a complete shutdown on Friday against the killing of a young Shopian student Aadil in forces action on Tuesday. (CNS)
