Dir ULB, CEO PDA pledge to protect the tourist spot’s environment

Srinagar, Jun 05: World Environment Day was Monday observed in health resort Pahalgam where officials spoke about safeguarding the environment of the picturesque tourist spot.

According to KNS correspondent, Director Urban Local Bodies, Riyaz Ahmad, while speaking on the occasion to protect the environment of the tourist resort.
“We all should pledge today to make safeguard Pahalgam as it is the lifeline of water resources to our Valley. Pollution should not disrupt this beautiful place. And we all should conserve and protect the environment of this picturesque valley,” he said.
Chief Executive Officer Pahalgam Development Authority, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani said that the Master Plan of Pahalgam is being strictly implemented and followed.
“PDA does not tolerate violation of Master Plan. Saving the fragile environment of Pahalgam is our top most priority,” Simnani said.
Later, the officials distributed 100 dustbins among locals for garbage collection. (KNS)
