Anantnag, July 19: Funeral procession of a civilian, Mohammad Abdullah Ganai at Village Hassanpora in Bijbehara Ganai, succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS Soura Tuesday afternoon.
Ganai, a resident of nearby Hussainpora village was injured after Army soldiers opened fire in Bijbehara on Monday. He succumbed to his injuries last evening at SKIMS Soura.
He was laid to rest amid pro freedom slogans at his native village.
He was injured after an altercation between Army soldiers and locals was followed by firing at the hands of Army.
All shops, business establishments and educational institutions were closed in the area, however traffic on the Srinagar-Jammu highway was moving normally.
