Says some forces hell bent to damage brotherhood fabric in country
Poonch, Jul 16: Alleging some organisations for damaging the fabric of communal harmony in the country, which include their move of attacking minorities in different parts of country, Provincial President of Youth National Conference Ajaz Jan today said that people have lost their faith on both BJP and PDP with government in state remaining on failure note in all aspects.
Jan was addressing a well attending meeting of people in Mandhar village of Poonch which is located close to Line of Control.
Jan, while addressing the meeting, said that since the time BJP has taken over the central government in country, repeated incidents of attacks on minorities are taking place but silence maintained by Government is unfortunate.
“Muslims of India don’t need certificates of patriotism from organisations like Bajrang Dal which are spreading hatred like done in Hisar Haryana recently by slapping a Muslim preacher ” Jan said terming the incident as a showcase of ideologies of some organisations which are moving on the path of dividing society on the lines of religion”.
Jan also questioned BJP command and central government and said that BJP leaders and ministers give statements in media on small issues but on issue like of Hisar, which hurt the sentiments of Muslims across the nation, not even a single BJP leader uttered a single word.
Jan also appealed Prime Minister to intervene in such issues and to ensure that whosoever triggers an incident spreading religious hatredness should be taken to task irrespective of the religions from which the culprit belongs.
Jan also hit hard on state government for leaving people of border belts on God’s mercy and said that government authorities can be seen napping in Poonch district with no help being provide to affected people except some immediate financial aid from Government exchequer.
“A Government leader or Minister can’t give relife to a died person but his visit can restore confidence of family and give them a feeling than Government is standing with them but no government leader bothered to visit the house of those people, who lost lives in Pak shelling in recent months” Jan said.
“People have lost their faith in PDP and BJP and are prepared to teach them a lesson in next polls to make them understand that promises made should be fulfilled” Jan added.
Earlier, locals of the area who attended the meeting also expressed strong resentment against Government authorities and informed the YNC leader about shortage of basic needs in the area and said that people living here are craving for Governments attention.
