‘Takes a detailed inspection of District Hospital Baramulla’
Srinagar, Aug 23: Minister for Health & Medical Education, Bali Bhagat today toured North Kashmir and visited District Hospital Baramulla along with School of Nursing, Baramulla and Trauma Hospital Pattan.
The Minister was accompanied by Director Health Services, Kashmir, Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman along with OSD to Minister, Ram Savak, Madan Lal, Joint Director (P&S) and other Administrative Staff. Chief Medical Officer, Baramulla Dr. Bashir Chalkoo & Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Baramulla, Dr. Syed Masood along with other District Health officers were also present.
On this occasion, the Minister took stock of health care services being provided to the patients at District Hospital Baramulla and inspected all the units of the hospitals. He also interacted with patients and attendants to get the feedback about the medical care being provided by the hospital.
Director Health Services, Kashmir. Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman apprised the Minister about the level of services being provided to the patients and briefed him about the general work done of the hospital which is catering a huge population.
Later the minister visited School of Nursing, DH Baramulla where he interacted with students and principal of the institute Dr. Riyaz Ahamd War. He laid stress on keeping the standard of studies on modern lines so that skilled human resource is available to serve the patients.
At the end he paid a visit to Trauma Hospital Pattan to inspect the ongoing construction of the health institution. He asked the Director Health Services, Kashmir to make it functional in a time bound manner. (KNS)
