Cloud burst triggers flash floods havoc in Ganderbal villages

Ganderbal, Aug 02: Flash flood triggered by a cloudburst have wreaked havoc in Yarmuqam and Manigam areas of Central Kashmir’s district Ganderbal.

Reports said that cloudburst triggered flooding in Pahel Nallah which later damaged roads, standing crops, electricity and water pipelines in Yarmuqam and Manigam villages of the district.

Later the residents try to remove the boulders, mud and stones in their yards and fields, following the landslides triggered by flooding, reports said.

Residents of yarmuqam said Water level was very high and dangerous due to which the flood damaged roads, water supply and electricity were also disrupted.

Meanwhile tehsildar Lar along with a team of revenue and police officials have reached the spot and are assessing the damage caused by the flash floods.
