SRINAGAR, AUGUST 04: Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti hasstressed on preserving and promoting the handmade arts of Kashmir for which she asked the concerned agencies to takeall possible steps.The Chief Minister was interacting with a series of deputations of artisans and dealers of handicrafts, Pashminaworkers, copper workers and fur workers.
deputations were led by MLC, Khursheed Aalam.Appreciating the local artisan community for having carried the art through centuries, Mehbooba Mufti said these art forms have given the State a unique position in the country and world and her Government would make efforts for the welfare of the artisan community.
