Different student leaders of Rajouri condemn excess use of force on agitating students

Rajouri, Aug 22: Students leaders hailing from Rajouri in a press statement issued here condemned the brutal force used upon students who were peacefully protesting against the negligence of Health Department, Rajouri. In a joint press statement issued by student leaders Nadeem Ahmed Mir, Awais Ganie and Aquib Wani have condemned the excess use of force on agitating students especially girls. Nadeem Ahmed Mir, former President GDC, Rajouri termed the cane charge and indiscriminate shelling on students as very unfortunate and unacceptable. He extended his full support to the students of GDC, Rajouri. Awais Ganie, youth leader has said that students are assets of society and nation, assaulting them will further create division between administration and students. He also said that health department of Rajouri is in deep slumber and silently watching naked drama of death by becoming mute spectator. Aquib Wani, a student leader said that, this is the worst face through which Rajouri is passing. He said that since last few months , deaths of patients due to negligence of doctors and paramedical staff has increased. He also added that nexus between doctors & private laboratories generates commission which doesn’t let doctors perform their duty. They further added that despite of having Cabinet Ministers, MoS, MLA’s, MLC’s from ruling party, Rajouri remains in stone and development is confined to paper work and press releases only. The joint press release from the leaders have cautioned police regarding arrest or harassment of any student. They said that, if any student is arrested or harassed, we will come on streets and stand against administration. They also demanded judicial probe against the health administration and inquiry about the officer who gave the order of lathi charge on students.
