Discrimination with J&K students outside state unacceptable: Koteranka Youth

Aug 13 2017: A press conference was organized by youth activists of Koteranka under leadership of Nadeem Ahmed Mir. The youth activists termed the recent incidence that took place in a Rajasthan college inhuman & unacceptable. A couple of days ago, students of J&K were asked to vacate hostel during late night in a private engineering college of Rajasthan. The students were pursuing their studies on scholarship provided by Govt of India but due to non depositing of fee hostel authorities asked students to vacate the rooms and forced them to spend night under open sky. Addressing the press conference Nadeem Ahmed said that ” It was very unfortunate to see students spending night under open sky without food & water “. He added ” since BJP has come to power, it has become quite difficult for students from J&K to study outside state “. He further added that ” it was the failure of PM’s office which didn’t gave scholarship to students on time”.
He also said that ‘ People of Kashmir have always remained as example of hospitality and helping when it comes to help guests from India but the case in India is opposite for J&K people in India because media has painted everyone from J&K as terrorist”
He along with other activists cautioned the govt of dire consequences if they are failed to provide scholarship to students on time. He also warned state govt & fascist forces of a state level mass agitation against this negligence of attitude.
