Hurriyat (G) reacts statement of Arun Jaitley

‘Integration of disputed state with rest of India is never possible’

Srinagar, Aug 03: Strongly reacting to the statement of Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, wherein he has said that implementation of GST in JK marks economic integration”. APHC while refuting statement said that integration of disputed state with rest of India is never possible. These measures are unacceptable and we will fight tooth and nail, added Hurriyat Conference (G).
Hurriyat (G) said that Indian authorities on one hand are involved in continuous bloodshed and on the other, are employing services of NIA like agencies to muzzle genuine voices of pro-freedom people in state.
Hurriyat Conference (G) in its statement while criticizing the application of GST in state, said that both GST and NIA were forced with muscle & might.
Hurriyat said that the business fraternity were badly effected by implementation of GST and added that authorities have virtually waged war on people in Kashmir.
In its statement Hurriyat (G) assured all concerned quarters of its active support against these arbitrary laws and measures.
Hurriyat Conference (G) blamed PDP for facilitating these laws and functioning of NIA like agencies & said that the status of disputed nature of state can’t be altered by enforcing NIA, implementing GST, PSA, AFSPA and making people hostage on gun point.
Hurriyat (G) said that Jammu Kashmir is not an issue related to development, instead a problem related to political future of 15 million people.
Hurriyat Conference in its statement added that Arun Jaitley and other policymakers of India better know that they can’t ignore the sentiments of people & shall have to acknowledge the aspiration of people.
Indian authorities through these measures are attempting to alter the demographic status of Jammu Kashmir, said Hurriyat.
Referring to Kashmir issue, Hurriyat (G) asked Uno and international community to resolve this long pending issue, and impressed that sincere efforts are needed to ascertain the aspirations of people about the political destiny of the state. It is the only key to solution and put a halt to continuous bloodshed and uncertainty in the sub-continent, added Hurriyat Conference (G). (KNS)
