Meet Congress leaders for their grievances

Srinagar, Aug 06: Residents of Sadapora in Idgah assembly segment are angry with the government for not repairing and macadamising the Sadapora to Sangam road which is in dilapidated condition.
The residents said that the area was under Rural Development department which was later transferred to SMC Srinagar’s jurisdiction.
“But after SMC took over, there was no development and we were ignored by the governments in all developmental activities,” the residents told KNS.
Angry with the Government, the residents today held a meeting with the Congress leader and Organisational Secretary of JKPCC Imtiyaz Khan and former Congress minister Khem Lata Wakhloo and took up their demands and grievances with them.
“People have tremendous difficulty while travelling ply on Sadapora to Sangam road. The whole area was under Rural Development was transferred to SMC Srinagar. But in absence of the development and repairing of roads, the today requested that the area should be given back to RDD for its development so that their problems about roads, electricity and other grievances are addressed,” Khan said.
He said that people in the assembly segment are being ignored by the legislator and the government in development and other initiates. (KNS)
