‘We have no animosity with Muslims of Pakistan but country’s govt, army’
Srinagar, August 31: Elusive Kashmir militant commander and chief of newly formed Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind outfit, Zakir Rashid Bhat alias Zakir Musa, today praised militants who fought and died in Kashmir for what he says ‘continuing Jihad despite treacheries and backstabbing’ after American invasion of Afghanistan in 2001.
In a detailed 9:44 duration audio visual message posted on You Tube, Zakir – who parted ways with Hizbul Mujahideen early this year after developing serious ideological differences with the latter – said that the ‘Jihad’ in Kashmir is alive not because of any country’s support but due ‘help of Allah and blood of martyrs’. He takes a dig at Pakistani government and army for allegedly backstabbing the Kashmir Jihad after 2001 to ‘please America and India’.
“The Kashmir Jihad is among exemplary Jihadi movement. Despite unlimited treacheries, the Jihad in Kashmir is continuing since 70 years and sustained due to love for Allah,” he said, adding: “The Jihad in Kashmir has seen many phases. There was a time when it was said that Azadi is just few days away. Then came the phase when Indian army and Ikhwanis crossed all limits of brutalities and despair followed everywhere and an atmosphere of terror prevailed.”
Zakir said after arrival of ‘muhajir’ (migrant) militants from various parts of world including, the “despair was turned hope”. “It was felt that India is not going to remain in Kashmir for long. But in the meanwhile, America invaded Afghanistan and our so-called well-wisher Pakistan government and army betrayed us to the extent that ‘mujahideen’ were declared terrorists,” he said.
The engineering dropout turned militant said after American invasion of Afghanista, the Pakistani State closed training camps and alleged that “even mujahideen associated with Kashmir Jihad were killed”. “Some were jailed. The Jihad which was obligatory till yesterday was termed forbidden and the border which was used for supplying (arms and ammunition) to militants was fenced with India.
“The way of honour and supremacy was abandoned and Jihad in Kashmir was backstabbed with dialogue, cricket and diplomacy and by other means,” he said. The militant commander however said that despite of crackdown phase, the Jihad in Kashmir continued even when there were handful of militants and they did it by snatching weapons from armed forces.
The Kashmir’s Islamist commander, who has been vocal in criticizing Pakistan, said they have no animosity with country’s 20-crore Muslim population but “slave” government and army. “Our animosity is not with 20 crore Muslims of Pakistan but with American slave Pakistani government and army who have unleashed mayhem on Pakistani Muslims, particularly militants. They (Pakistani government and army) have betrayed Kashmir jihad to please America and India,” he said.
The Ansar chief said named various local and foreign militants in his speech that included JKLF commander Ashfaq Majeed Wani, Hizbul Mujahideen commanders Abdullah Bangroo and Yasin Yatoo, Lashkar-e-Toiba commanders Muzzamil Amin Dar and Junaid Matoo and Al Badr commander Muzafar Naiko alias Muz Molvi. Besides he also praised foreign militants Ghazi Baba, Abu Dujana, Akbar Bhai of Pakistan and Ibn Masood of Jordon.
“Their (militants) mission was not any secular system or supremacy of democracy but they raised the slogan of ‘Shariah or Shahadat’ with their blood,” he said.
Announcing targets of his outfit, he said: “Our targets are Indian armed forces, Kashmir’s ‘apostate’ police, senior officers of Indian Government, embassies, political merchants and every such person who works as informer for India and hurts Jihad.” Musa concluded his speech by invoking plight of Rohingya Muslims in Burma and warned against ‘raising evil eye’ towards them in Jammu.(GNS)
