Srinagar, August 11: The India and Pakistan armies today traded gunfire at Kamalkote sector of Uri in Baramulla district of north Kashmir.

Official sources said that the Pakistani troops targeted 20 Sikh and 8RR regiments of Army at Kamalkote from jungle 1, Jungle 2 and Jungle 3 posts near Line of Control at 6:25 pm. The fire was retaliated by the Indian troops, they said.

The gunfire exchange between the two sides continued for some minutes but there was no injury or fatality was reported from either side, the sources added.(GNS)
