Traders protest against Mirwaiz house detention, lockdown of Jamai Masjid

Srinagar August 3: Scores of traders from Share Khaas Srinagar were on Thursday joined by representatives of various trade and business bodies to protest against the barring of Friday prayers, continuous house detention of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and repeated imposition of curfew in the area.

The traders were joined by representatives of Kashmir Traders and Munfacturers Forum (KTMF) during their sit-in protest against the continuous lockdown of Jamia Masjid and Shahar-e-Khaas.

The protesting traders were demanding an end to lockdown, release of Mirwaiz and lifting of siege from Jamia Masjid where prayers have been barred during past six weeks.
