Tree Plantation drive held in Khanmoh

 

400 students, farmers participate


Srinagar, Aug 09 : In the ongoing programme over world Bio-Fuel Day by the Ministry of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India (GoI) in association with National Yuva Corporation Society (NYCS), a tree plantation drive was organized at the hilly forest area of Khanmoh.
At least 400 students from 13 schools and farmers participated in the event.
Minister of State for Education, Tourism and Horticulture, Priya Sethi was also present on the occasion who highlighted the importance of tree plantation and said that they will carry forward this mission for the better future.
State Coordinator NYCS, Muhammad Anwar Khan while speaking on the occasion said, “Our children are our future thereby we preferred to involve the students in tree plantation so that they would start the plantation drive on their own for their better tomorrow,” he said. (KNS)
