Published on Sep 21: After the killing of Senior Journalist Gauri Lankesh in Banglore , few weeks ago Reporters Association of India Maharashtra region yesterday submitted letter for protection of News Reporters to Chief Minister of Maharashtra state and Chief Minister agreed to place a bill in protection of Journalists .
If the bill is passed then there would be a law under which the lives of News Reporters would be safe and secured.
Before submitting a letter to Chief Minister, A meeting was concluded on Sunday 17th Sept at Navi Mumbai where many News Reporters participated and chalked out various other issues too. HE Amb Dr. Anil Nair, Mr. Pawar, Mr. Nasir, Adv. Miss Nair, Mr. Paul, Mr. Anand Nair (Dinvarta Multimedia), Mr. Madhusudhan Nair and Sameer Khan Pune.

Various issues were discussed and as a task all decided to take one subject of concern at a time. It was decided to draft a letter for approval to be handed over to Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
