Floral tributes paid to Martyr Imtiyaz Ahmad

Srinagar, September 10: To pay homage to the martyr Imtiyaz Ahmad resident of Palpora Noorbagh, Srinagar, who was martyred after some unknown terrorists fired upon a police party near General Bus Stand Anantnag, a wreath laying ceremony was held at JIC Anantnag.
DIG South Kashmir Shri S.P Pani led police, civil officers and jawans in laying the floral wreaths on the body of the martyr.
Among others, DC Anantnag Shri Younis Ahmad, SSP Anantnag Shri Altaf Ahmad Khan, Commandants of 40 RR, 90 RR, SP Hqr Shri Aijaz Ahmad, SP Ops Shri Mukesh Kumar and other police officers and Jawans of the district were present during the ceremony.
Martyr Imtiyaz Ahmad is survived by aged parents, unmarried sister and two brothers one of them differently abled.

As has been reported that, today in the evening some unknown terrorists fired upon a police party near General Bus Stand Anantnag, resulting in injuries to two police personnel identified as Ct. Imtiyaz Ahmad son of Shakeel Ahmad Mir resident of Palpora Noorbagh, Srinagar and Ct Shabir Ahmad. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment where Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir succumbed to his injuries.
