Srinagar, Sep 19: Anjuman Shari Shian Tuesday hoped that Government will lift all the curbs on Muharamm procession and will respect the sentiments of believers.
The organization held a meeting that was presided by Anjuman Shari Shian President Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi. The meeting was attended by District and Zonal Secretaries of the organization.
During the meeting the final shape to the arrangements made for the Muharam processions and conferences were given while Aga Syed Hasan threw light on the life and sacrifices of Imam Hussain (A.S), the beloved grandson of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
He said that Karbala episode touches whole Muslim Ummah while government hurt the sentiments of people after it imposes curbs, thus deprives believers from expressing their love and affection towards the martyrs of Karbala. He said from past 27 years, the Muharam processions are being disallowed in Kashmir.
“This time we are hopeful that government will lift the curbs on these processions,” he said. (CNS)
