Srinagar, Sep 28: Processions continue across the valley on 7th Muharram organized by J&K Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian. Muharram Processions were taken out from Undroon Kathi Darwaza Rainawari, Banamohalla, Nowgam, Gamadaw, Inderkoot, Kawpora, Chalpora and other palces.
The procession in the interior Kathidarwaza was led by Anjuman Shari Shian president Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi.
In his address, Aga Syed Hasan stressed upon the teachings of Prophet Mohammad and also highlighted the great sacrifice of Karbala martyrs for the sake of truth. He further added that Karbala taught us how to be victorious while you are oppressed.
During the procession mourners were reciting Nohas and Marsiahs to pay tribute to Imam Hussain and other martyrs of Karbala.
He in his address said that we should follow the path of Imam Hussain. He added that Karbala is not mere a battle, it’s a fight against the tyranny, cruelty and oppression.
The procession passed through various lanes and bylanes and culminated at traditional Imambara at Hasanabad.
Meanwhile, Alam sharief was taken out from the shrine of Hazrat Syed Qasim (RA) and culminated at Imambara Koshiora HMT. The procession led by General Secretary Shia Association Abid Hussain Ansari. (CNS)
