Directed officers to ensure proper arrangements in view of Muharram
SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER Minister for Information technology, Technical education, Youth services and sports, Imran Raza Ansari convened a meeting to review the final Muharram arrangements in the state.
The meeting was attended by the different department officers of district Baramulla.
During the meeting, the minister took stock of the supply position of various essential commodities in the state, particularly in district Baramulla and Pattan constituency. The Minister exhorted upon the officers to ensure proper availability of the necessary commodities during Muharram.
Pertinently, the Minister also issued direction to the all the DDC’s to ensure that all requisite arrangements are made available to the devotees during these days.
He directed the PHE, PDD, R&B and other concerned departments to ensure the provision of adequate rations, wood for Imambaras, uninterrupted power supply, potable drinking water and safe passage of devotees on roads in Shia populated areas, for proper and smooth functioning in view of Muharram.
Additionally, he also directed Health Department to ensure availability of life-saving drugs and installation of medical camps around Imambaras, besides keeping ambulances ready in case of mishap.
