Work delayed due to non-availability of funds: Executive Engineer Sopore
Srinagar, Sep 22: Nearly five years passed since the authorities announced the District Water Supply Scheme for Badnipora, the administration has miserably failed to start the work for the scheme.
Locals told KNS that the authorities on 14 July 2012 announced District Water Supply Scheme for Ashim Zanipora in Bandipora worth Rs 5 crore 25 lakh.
They said that the scheme according to the officials would supply ater to at least 10,000 households in the district.
Locals said that the authorities after announcing the scheme has failed to start the work over the scheme to benefit the people here.
Executive Engineer Sopore, Mohammad Shafi Sofi told KNS that the work was delayed due to the non-availability of funds.
He said that the funds will be allotted in the upcoming two or three days after which the work will be started. (KNS)
