FIL wins CII Award for Outstanding Contribution in Backward Integration in Agriculture and Food Processing

New Delhi, Sep 26: FIL Industries Limited has been conferred a national award by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for “Outstanding Contribution in Backward Integration” in Agriculture and Food Processing at an impressive gathering of industry leaders and policy intellectuals at the 7th National Cold Chain Summit held at the Lalit, New Delhi on September 25, 2017.
In its endeavor to recognize individual/organizations for pre-eminence and outstanding contributions to the field of cold chain management including warehouse, logistics, and policy systems and to raise awareness with regard to sustainable success and competitiveness through best practices, CII’s Food and Agriculture Center of Excellence in association with Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) and National Center for Cold Chain Development (NCCD) organized the 7th National Cold Chain Summit in New Delhi.
FIL’s state-of-the art food processing, value addition and integrated cold chain facilities at Rangreth, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir are a hallmark of technological excellence in India.
The Company has been recognized as amongst the handful of Companies in India that has successfully facilitated the growth of cold chain supply management systems in India via a fully integrated facility for food processing and allied agro infrastructure with a strong back-end network at the farm level.
Speaking on the award, Syed Junaid Altaf, Executive Director at FIL, said “The award validates FIL’s synergistic business model in the entire agri-consumer value chain and the pioneering work the Company has done over the last three decades from the farm-to-consumer level.
