First braid chopping incident in Bandipora

Locals appeal police to nab culprits

Bandipora, Sep 28: The first Braid chopping incident was reported from North Kashmir’s Nathpora area of Bandipora district when a Class 5 student, Ifat Farooq Wani daughter of Farooq Ahmad Wani was found unconscious at her house.
Reports said that the braid of Ifat was chopped off by unknown persons when she was in her house after returning from school.
This is the first such incident that happened in North Kashmir.
Locals told KNS that they have informed police about the incident and appealed police to nab these culprits as soon as possible.
Over a dozen mysterious hair chopping incidents were reported from south Kashmir, especially Kulgam district from the last week.
Police had last week formed SIT to investigate the cases of the mysterious braid chopping incidents in the valley. (KNS)
